Accounts and fair play

CoffeeScore is for adults aged 18 or older. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in details and use an account you are authorized to use. Registration and a verified email are required to play any quiz, including free quizzes. Choose a nickname for public leaderboard results; a real name is not required. Creating an account means you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy describes personal information, public-profile defaults and available privacy choices.

Do not automate ranked answers, use bots or multiple accounts to obtain improper rewards, exploit bugs, interfere with other players, access private information or bypass payment and eligibility checks. Challenge rules may place further limits on outside assistance. We may investigate suspected abuse and restrict access where reasonably needed to protect the service, other players or legal obligations. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Untimed practice can recover after an accidental reload in the same tab within 90 seconds, without another Gold charge. Explicitly leaving ends the round. Timed prize challenges follow their separate rules.

Learning content

CoffeeScore provides coffee learning and independent preparation for SCA exams. It is not endorsed by the Specialty Coffee Association, and its quizzes are not official SCA exams. Practice results do not confer a qualification or guarantee an exam result. Report an incorrect question through the available feedback tools.

Coins, purchases and refunds

Gold and Silver Coins are credits for features offered within CoffeeScore. The wallet and checkout show the current pack price, exchange rate and applicable entry cost before you confirm an action. Purchased Coins have no time-based expiration while your account remains open. Coupons, gifts, promotions and individual events may have separate eligibility or redemption deadlines stated with the offer.

Coin purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for a change of mind, unused Coins or voluntary account closure, except where required by applicable law. Closing your account permanently forfeits unused Coins and access to saved play, earned items and account features. A deletion request alone does not close the account or forfeit its balance.

If you report a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, a purchase that failed to deliver the agreed Coins or an unauthorized payment, contact [email protected] so we can investigate. A report does not automatically generate a refund. Keep the payment receipt, but do not send your password or full card details. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights or payment-dispute rights. A payment reversal, refund or chargeback may result in the corresponding Coins being removed and the wallet being reconciled.

Coins cannot be withdrawn for cash or sold for money through CoffeeScore, except where applicable law requires a remedy. Registration and invitation bonuses are awarded only under their stated eligibility rules. A qualifying invitation must accompany the new-account signup; we do not store a referral cookie for a later signup. Email verification may follow later. Existing accounts do not qualify as new invited accounts, and repeated requests do not create additional rewards.

Challenges and prizes

Each challenge page states its schedule, eligibility, attempt limit, scoring, prizes, shipping restrictions and other event rules. Those rules govern participation in that challenge. Sponsor marketing permission is optional and separate from entry eligibility and prize ranking. Administrators' test attempts do not compete for player prizes.

For the Fall Coffee Challenge and Ganachy’s Chocolate League opening October 27, 2026, entries close at 11:59:59 PM PST on December 6, 2026. Entrants must be 18 or older. The sponsor handles free prize shipping to deliverable USA addresses. Potential winners must reply within three days (72 hours) of notification. An unanswered offer passes to the next eligible finisher who has not already received a prize, continuing down the ranking. Alternates receive the same reply period. Consult each event page for its complete rules and prize details.

Account closure and privacy requests

You may request access, correction or deletion through Account Settings or [email protected]. We verify ownership, review pending payments, holds and prize obligations, and explain the effect of closure before removing account access. The Privacy Policy describes the current erasure pause, ordinary-data removal, retained records and backup handling. We confirm the request outcome through the case contact. Any retention must have an applicable purpose; historical storage alone does not remove your privacy rights.

Content you share

Share only material you have the right to provide. You retain your rights in your own material. You allow CoffeeScore to store, process and display it as needed to provide the feature you requested and according to your selected sharing settings. Public content may be seen or copied by other visitors. Use another person's content only with permission or another lawful basis.

Availability, changes and questions

Features and quiz content may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance or errors. We take reasonable care in operating the service, but do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free learning material. Nothing here excludes a right, guarantee, liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

We will post revised terms with an effective date and give notice of material changes as appropriate. Changes will not silently rewrite a completed transaction or remove mandatory consumer rights. Contact [email protected] with a service, billing or rules question so we can review it.
